NSDRMR DevLog #1

Welcome to the first DevLog of NSDRMR! Today, I’m going to be showing off what I have so far. Which… is not a lot unfortunately.

These past few days I’ve been working on making a user friendly interface and coding technique, which has gone fairly well. I also made the built-in game UI that’s useable the moment you start up the engine (and yes, you can replace it with your own custom UI)!

Hmmm… I don’t think you’re excited enough. Here, here’s some dialogue that was made entirely in NSDRMR. Dialogue that you can make yourself without having to know how to code at all!

Sample Dialogue

Look at that! Pretty neat, huh? Unfortunately, the engine I’m making this in (Visual Novel Maker) doesn’t have the capability for two background angles unless you were to make them yourself. But, I do plan to mess around with the idea to see if it could work.

You may be saying “That’s cool, but… Isn’t making THAT too complicated for the average person to make?”

To which I say, not at all, just look at this!

The Coding Behind The Dialogue!
Neat, right? This is all the coding behind the whole picture you just saw. If you don’t understand parts of it, don’t worry, there will be a website dedicated to documenting how to use every tiny (and huge) bit of NSDRMR. For now, that’s it! I’ve got harder things to add in now…
